PROCESS: Step-by-step recycling process
To achieve the maximum quality level in the final product, Recopolymers has the latest technology, infrastructure and equipment, and being acutely aware of the need to preserve our enviroment, we have invested a lot of resources in order to minimize the enviromental impact,to comply fully with all legal requirements.
Recopolymers recycling process can be summarized in the following points:
- Sorting Facility. PET bottles and packages are sorted from any contaminants at the entry in the system (mainly metals and other plastics), and they are clasified by colour (clear and coloured).
- Grinding and washing of the PET flakes. Bottles, previously selected, are ground to the size of flakes required. Afterwards they are washed, with the removal of any posible attached contamination (mainly paper, organic waste, and adhesives)
- Industrial reprocessing and packaging of the PET flakes.PET flakes are dried, dust/fines removed and a final sorting and packing processes.
